Garrett Strang uses traditional methods to craft his creative visions into original sculptures. A typical sculpture begins with a series of drawings and schetches that suggest the structure and its placement in the environment. A prototype might be constructed, depending on the location,size, and the environmental surroundings.

His artwork reflects a true relationship to the natural world both in subject matter and its final conceptualization. Incorporating the inherent properties of wood, stone and steel and forces these mediums into new realms to produce a unique balance and energy.
With exterior placements, Garrett uses the natural contours and elements of the surroundings so the sculpture enhances its environment.
